Cupcake POW! is a comic created especially for girls about the things that girls like. That isn't to say that boys aren't welcome to read as well! They just might want to avoid mentioning that they do so in public places.

Cupcake POW! was created by Jody Houser, a real live actual girl. When not writing, Jody enjoys feminine pursuits such as shopping, making jewelry, and collecting dolls. It is rumored that she also likes science fiction, comic books, and movies where things explode. However, as she is female, this is probably not true.

Jody is also the creator of Brickgirl & Oscar. Despite having the word "girl" in the title, it is neither pink nor sparkly.
